Sanctum (above ground) Vaults

The above ground vaults are available at The Park, Efford cemetery and Weston Mill cemetery and give the perfect place to reflect in a tranquil setting.

The Sanctum 2000 is for two placements of cremated remains which must be in a casket.

The Sanctum 4 is for up to four placements of cremated remains which must be in a casket.

The initial price includes the black granite tablet with an inscription of up to 80 characters and spaces (additional letters and designs can be added to the tablet at a cost), a gold topped vase for fresh or silk flowers and the placement fee. The tablet can take up to six weeks to be made. If you want a photo or design this can be an additional 2 weeks (up to 8) in total.

Please note that currently there are no new Sanctum 4 at Weston Mill cemetery, or Sanctum 2000 at Efford cemetery.

These vaults are available on a 10, 20 or 30 year renewable lease and no other items are permitted in the sanctum area.

Please note that at the end of the lease period, if the lease is not renewed and in the absence of any other instructions, after a period of six months from the renewal date the cremated remains will be removed from the vault and will be scattered in the Garden of Remembrance/ Wildflower Meadows. The memorial tablet will be retained for six months for collection. If it is not collected within that period it will be destroyed.
